A pair of ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz, stolen nearly two decades ago, are now up for auction, with online bidding open until Dec. 7 at Heritage Auctions in Dallas. The sequin-and-bead-bedazzled slippers were recovered by the FBI in 2018 after being taken from the Judy Garland Museum in Grand Rapids, Minn. The museum, along with other bidders, is vying for the iconic shoes, one of four pairs worn by Garland during filming, with funds raised by the community and Minnesota lawmakers contributing to the purchase.
