Weather, route, celebrities, defending champions set for chilly weather

More than 50,000 runners are set to tackle the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon with favorable weather conditions forecasted, including cool temperatures between 45 and 57 degrees. The course will take participants through all five boroughs of NYC, with defending champions Tamirat Tola and Hellen Obiri looking to retain their titles in a competitive field that includes past winners and Olympic medalists. Local runner Joel Kaufman, who finished last in the previous year’s race, is also making a return to the iconic event.
