Honourable Ministers Nisia Trindade Lima, Mauro Vieira, and Fernando Haddad, along with Ambassador Alexandre Ghisleni, host an event dedicated to WHO’s work within the G20 platform, focusing on global health challenges and opportunities such as pandemic preparedness, digital health, health equity, and climate change. The Investment Round aims to mobilize $7 billion to support WHO’s ambitious plan to save 40 million lives over four years, with contributions from various Member States and partners, emphasizing the importance of investing in global health for productive populations, safer societies, and stronger economies. President Lula will announce the total commitments made at the G20 Leaders’ Summit, showcasing solidarity and support for WHO’s mission to promote, provide, and protect the health of the world’s people.
