The Indian Army has started verification patrolling at Depsang, the second friction point in eastern Ladakh, following the completion of disengagement at Demchok. The patrolling is being conducted as per mutually agreed terms with China, as part of efforts to reduce tension along the Line of Actual Control. This development comes after an agreement between India and China was reached in October to resolve the issues that arose in 2020, marking a significant breakthrough in easing the military standoff and improving bilateral relations.
