Consuming just one fizzy drink per day can increase the risk of developing deadly kidney disease.

A new study in South Korea found that individuals who regularly consume beverages like Coca-Cola and Fanta are more likely to suffer from chronic kidney disease compared to those who do not drink these beverages.

Experts recommend replacing fizzy drinks with water or fruit juice for better health.

Dr. Ga Young Heo from Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul stated, “Consuming one serving per day of any sweetened beverages was linked to an increased risk of developing chronic kidney disease.

“Replacing these drinks with natural juices or water was associated with a decreased risk of developing chronic kidney disease.

“These findings suggest that adopting healthy beverage consumption habits is crucial in preventing chronic kidney disease.”
