Four 12-year-old girls sustained serious burns in a fire at a Wendy’s restaurant in Brighton, with the cause being confirmed as accidental by the East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service. Despite social media rumors of fireworks being involved, both the fire service and Sussex Police have stated that there is no evidence to suggest fireworks were used. The girls are currently in stable condition in the hospital, with Sussex Police continuing to investigate the incident.
