Hezbollah willing to bend, not break for a truce: analysts

Hezbollah is open to a truce with Israel, acknowledging the devastating attacks it has suffered and the need for time to reorganize. However, the group has limits on what it can accept, including the deployment of the Lebanese army in south Lebanon but not total retreat from the border. Pressure from political rivals and support base is pushing Hezbollah towards ceasefire talks, but the implementation of UN resolution 1701 remains a challenge due to Israel’s violations and the connection of Hezbollah fighters to the southern villages.
