A Budget for recovery and growth – but who will foot the bill?

Today’s Autumn Budget marked the historic first female delivery of the fiscal statement, raising questions about its ability to address past government failures. Middle and high-income earners face the brunt of tax increases, including adjustments to Air Passenger Duty and Capital Gains Tax rates. Despite measures to support the most vulnerable, such as increases in National Minimum Wage and NHS funding, the Budget aims to claw back funds from various sectors to stabilize the economy.
