Sacked doctor pleads guilty to harming children in ‘unsafe and cruel’ circumcisions

Mohammad Siddiqui, a former doctor, confessed to child cruelty for performing unnecessary male circumcisions on young patients, leaving them with emotional and physical scars between 2012 and 2013. Despite being removed from the UK’s General Medical Council Register in 2015, Siddiqui continued his mobile circumcision service using unregulated methods and anaesthetic. He pleaded guilty to 25 offenses, including actual bodily harm and administering prescription-only medicines, and is set to be sentenced on January 14, 2025, at Southwark Crown Court.
