Israel short on soldiers after year of war

After more than a year of fighting in Gaza, the Israeli army’s reservists are exhausted and struggling to recruit soldiers, especially as they open a new front in Lebanon. Some 300,000 reservists have been called up since the conflict began, with many facing extended periods of duty. One reservist expressed frustration at being called up multiple times and urged an end to the war due to a shortage of soldiers.
