The armies of India and China have completed 80-90 per cent disengagement at Depsang and Demchok in Eastern Ladakh, including removal of infrastructure and troops pulling back, with the process expected to be finished by October 29. The Chinese Foreign Ministry confirmed that both countries are engaged in relevant work in line with the recent border agreement, while Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced the consensus to restore the ground situation based on principles of equal and mutual security, ending the military standoff in eastern Ladakh.
