Indian Navy’s 262 indigenous projects under advance stage

The Indian Navy has achieved approximately 90%, 60%, and 50% indigenous content in the Float, Move, and Fight categories, respectively. Efforts are now focused on indigenisation in propulsion, power generation, weapons, and sensors, led by the Centre for Indigenisation & Self Reliance. Over 5000 items have been indigenised so far, with plans in place to replace foreign-origin equipment on various platforms with Indian-made equipment.
