Nationwide protests are demanding the Luxon government in New Zealand to ban imports from illegal Israeli settlements, cease procurement from UN-identified complicit companies, and end investments in such companies. The Christchurch City Council’s procurement policy change sets an example for the government to follow, as advocated by John Minto of the Palestine Solidarity Network Aotearoa. Rallies, marches, and vigils are scheduled across the country to push for these demands, with various events listed from North to South Island.
