Indian and Chinese troops have initiated the phased disengagement process at Depsang and Demchok in eastern Ladakh, with Indian troops moving equipment to rear locations as per agreements between the two sides, according to defence officials. This development follows extensive discussions at diplomatic and military levels, leading to an agreement on patrolling arrangements along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) announced by the Ministry of External Affairs.
