The report warns that without immediate and drastic emission cuts, the goal of limiting warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius is unlikely to be achieved, putting the planet at risk of irreversible damage. The top 20 carbon-polluting countries are failing to meet their emission reduction targets, highlighting the urgent need for stronger action to avert climate catastrophe.
