United States women’s coach Emma Hayes is using the team’s October training camp to test new players following their Olympic gold medal win. Six uncapped players have been called up for upcoming matches against Iceland and Argentina. The camp is also considered a victory tour to celebrate the Olympic success while looking ahead to the future. The team is focusing on integrating new talent and building for the 2027 World Cup. Several players from the Olympic squad are missing due to injuries or personal commitments, while others are being managed carefully due to upcoming NWSL games. Hayes aims to evaluate new players to strengthen the team moving forward.
