Fernando Valenzuela, whose feats for Dodgers fueled ’Fernandomania,’ dies at 63

Fernando Valenzuela, known for his achievements with the Dodgers during ‘Fernandomania,’ passed away at 63. The cause of his death was not disclosed. Valenzuela was a beloved figure in the 1980s and although not in the Baseball Hall of Fame, he is commemorated in Cooperstown with memorabilia from his career, including a signed ball from his no-hitter in 1990.
