Second wave of prisoners to get early release despite fears sex offenders included

Former home secretary Dame Priti Patel and Lib Dem justice spokesman Josh Babarinde have voiced opposition to the early release scheme, which was implemented due to overcrowding in British jails, leading to incidents like Amari Ward, a released offender who sexually assaulted a woman on the day of his release.
