India and China are close to resolving the 2020 border crisis, with a patrolling arrangement being worked out, as stated by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri. The border standoff, which began in April-May 2020 and led to the Galwan valley clash resulting in the death of 20 Indian soldiers, has seen disengagement in five friction points. Both countries have engaged in negotiations at military and diplomatic levels to mitigate the ongoing issue.
