Crafty modder Redherring32 has created the world’s first portable Xbox by packing the guts of a legitimate Xbox motherboard into a compact handheld form factor, featuring a 9-inch 480p display, 100W USB-C charging, and a fully-functional Xbox controller. This impressive feat required reverse engineering and redesigning PCBs from scratch, as well as trimming down the chunky Xbox motherboard to fit the portable design. Redherring32 plans to add Wi-Fi 6 support next, with the entire design open source for those willing to take on the technical challenge of assembling it themselves.
