BC Lions quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. returned to the starting lineup for their regular-season finale against the Montreal Alouettes after a tough season, while his replacement Nathan Rourke struggled. The Lions, currently 8-9, are looking for momentum heading into the playoffs, while the Alouettes, at 12-3-1, are set as the top seed in the East and have a strong backup quarterback in Davis Alexander, who has won all four of his starts this year. Coach Jason Maas wants Alexander to be cautious about seeking contact when running to avoid unnecessary hits.
