Quebec organ donation service takes over organ transport

Quebec’s organ donation service, Transplant Québec, is taking over the responsibility of transporting organs from the Canadian Organ and Tissue Donors Association (CODA) starting immediately. This decision was announced by provincial health minister Sonia Bélanger, with Sûreté Québec volunteers continuing to transport organs and medical teams under Transplant Québec’s management. The move aims to streamline and improve organ transport processes within the province.
