The deadline for individual tax filing season submissions is 21 October 2024, with SARS urging taxpayers to use eFiling or the SARS MobiApp for convenience. After submission, taxpayers will receive an ITA34 document detailing their tax liability, with refunds processed within 72 hours if certain criteria are met. Failure to meet the deadline may result in penalties, with the Employer Interim Reconciliation Filing Season open until 31 October 2024 for employers to reconcile their declarations using the upgraded e@syFile™ Employer application to avoid penalties and interest.
