The project, costing around Rs 27,000 crore, aims to improve monitoring of India’s borders and will utilize artificial intelligence for more effective data gathering and analysis. The recent approval to purchase weaponized Predator drones will further bolster the surveillance capabilities of the new satellites, supporting special operations across the armed forces and providing round-the-clock monitoring regardless of weather conditions.
