Max Pacioretty scored his first goal for the Maple Leafs in a 4-2 victory over the Devils, alongside goals from Steven Lorentz, Bobby McMann, and John Tavares. Dennis Hildeby stood strong in his first NHL start for Toronto, stopping 20 shots. Sheldon Keefe’s home debut as Devils coach was spoiled, as the Maple Leafs extended their road winning streak against New Jersey to eight games.
