Russia could do deal with Georgia over occupied regions, hints foreign minister – POLITICO

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated that the ruling Georgian Dream party expressed a desire for historical reconciliation, leaving the form of reconciliation up to Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Lavrov also mentioned that Russia is willing to assist if all parties show interest in normalizing relations. Georgian Dream’s mayor Kakha Kaladze welcomed the potential move, indicating a willingness to engage in the reconciliation process.
