Nepal Floods: Nepal’s monsoon floods toll reaches 170 as Kathmandu struggles to recover

Residents of Nepal’s flood-hit capital returned to their mud-caked homes after devastating floods claimed at least 170 lives across the country. Monsoon rains caused flash floods and landslides in Kathmandu, injuring several and displacing thousands. Kumar Tamang, a resident of a slum area near a riverbank, described the destruction caused by the floods in his neighborhood.
