Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Pocketpair in Tokyo, the developer behind the game Palworld, which has been described as a Pokémon parody featuring gun-toting monsters. Released in Early Access on January 18, Palworld quickly gained popularity, selling 15 million copies on Steam and attracting 25 million players within a month.
