Guwahati Diary | Fugitive fraudster caught counting cash

The police are searching for Deepankar Barman, owner of DB Stock Broking, who is accused of committing financial fraud worth Rs 7,000 crore. A video of Barman counting stacks of cash has surfaced on social media, as he remains underground for over a month. The firm trapped investors with promises of annual returns between 96% to 120%, and the police have also busted another online trading scam worth Rs 2,200 crore.
