Alleged scammer conned Everett veteran out of $20K, police say

A New York man, Hongfei Hang, was arrested by Everett police for scamming a Vietnam veteran out of thousands of dollars. The arrest followed a sting operation conducted by the police department. Residents were warned to alert their elderly family members about potential scams involving requests for large sums of money over the phone or email.
