Astronauts reveal what life is like on ISS – and how they deal with ‘space smell’

In June, two American astronauts, Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, were supposed to spend eight days on the International Space Station (ISS) but their return was postponed until 2025 due to safety concerns with their Boeing Starliner spacecraft. They are now living with nine other people in a space the size of a six-bedroom house, with Williams describing it as her “happy place” and Wilmore feeling “grateful” to be there. Despite being 400km above Earth, they are adapting well to their new environment.
