Killers of British backpackers David Miller and Hannah Witheridge denied freedom bid in Thailand

Two men convicted of killing British backpackers Hannah Witheridge and David Miller in Thailand had their prison release bid blocked. Zaw Lin and Wai Phyo confessed to the murders but later claimed they were tortured into false confessions. The Burmese bar workers, both 29, were sentenced to death in 2015 after the brutal slayings on Koh Tao in 2014.
