Jordan’s leading Islamist opposition party, the Islamic Action Front (IAF), has tripled its representation in parliament, winning 31 out of 138 seats in legislative elections. The IAF, a political offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood, emerged as the top party in the election, reflecting frustration over the ongoing Gaza war. Despite its success, the IAF fell short of securing a majority in the legislature, according to official results released on Wednesday.
