A Japanese consortium, comprising Albatross Technology, Electric Power Development, Tokyo Electric Power Company, K-Line, and Sumitomo, has been chosen to conduct a feasibility study on large-scale floating vertical-axis wind turbines. The study is part of a project by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization to develop next-generation technologies that promote the adoption of floating turbines. This initiative aims to advance renewable energy solutions and contribute to the growth of the wind energy sector.
