‘BDO suggested backdating financial reports’: Bhyju’s hits back, says audit firm resigned on initiation of insolvency proceedings

Byju’s faced a crisis when auditor BDO (MSKA & Associates) resigned, with the company alleging unethical behavior and manipulation of the audit process. Founders Byju Raveendran and Divya Gokulnath questioned the legality of the resignation, accusing BDO of procedural failure and an “escapist” move. The company claimed to have call recordings where BDO representatives suggest backdating documents, raising concerns about the audit integrity.
