Rivals Western Sydney have signed former Manchester United star Juan Mata for the 2024-25 A-League Men season on a one-year deal, just days after Sydney FC unveiled Douglas Costa. Mata, who has won the 2010 World Cup and 2012 Euros with Spain, brings a brilliant career that includes winning the Copa del Rey at Valencia and multiple titles at Chelsea. His addition adds significant star power to the A-League and sets up an exciting rivalry with Sydney FC for the upcoming season.
