Artists Emily Hartley-Skudder and Pinky Fang collaborated on a photo series featuring a collection of pre-1948 cosmetics from Palestine, including deodorant, hair oil, baby powder, toothpaste, and cold cream. The photographs, displayed at Newtown gallery Drive-Thru, showcase 12 vintage products found by Fang’s mother at an estate sale in Hastings in the 1970s, capturing the essence of the products in glossy and sumptuous images that almost parody contemporary product photography.
