Two confirmed dead in helicopter crash during seafarer rescue attempt off India

Two members of an Indian Coast Guard helicopter crew died after it crash-landed in the Arabian Sea while attempting to evacuate a crew member from the MR tanker Hari Leela. The helicopter was launched in response to a request from the ship’s master for medical evacuation of a seriously injured crewman onboard the vessel. The incident occurred at 11 pm local time on Monday.
