Families of the 13 fallen U.S. servicemembers criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for her statement on Trump’s visit to Arlington National Cemetery. Darin Hoover, Coral Doolittle, Jaclyn and Mark Schmitz, and Steve Nikoui, parents of the fallen soldiers, expressed their disappointment with Harris’s remarks. The families felt that Harris’s comments were disrespectful and lacked empathy towards their loss.
