Storms kill 1 in Nebraska, topple trees and damage prison
OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Strong storms in eastern Nebraska resulted in one death and serious injuries, damaging Two Rivers state park where a woman died in a vehicle crushed by a fallen tree. The storms also displaced 387 inmates after damaging two housing units at the Nebraska State Penitentiary, while widespread damage occurred across the region, leaving thousands without power.
