Mexico’s First Female Police Force

Mexico recently established its first all-female police force in the state of Mexico City, with the goal of combating gender-based violence and increasing women’s safety in the region. The force is comprised of 100 female officers who have undergone specialized training in self-defense, conflict resolution, and gender equality. This initiative represents a significant step towards empowering women and addressing the pervasive issue of violence against women in Mexico.
