Typhoon Dolphin has struck Japan’s Okinawa Island, injuring five elderly individuals and causing power outages for 14,000 homes. The storm, with maximum winds of 162 km/h, is progressing toward eastern China, prompting authorities to declare a level-three emergency and halt port operations, schools, and ferry routes. Rainfall exceeding 600 mm is expected in parts of Zhejiang province as the typhoon approaches its expected landfall late Sunday or early Monday.
