Winco Fireworks, a manufacturer of consumer pyrotechnics, is recalling more than 100,000 fireworks sold nationwide due to potential malfunctions that could lead to explosions and burns. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that the “Unity 7 Shot” 200-gram aerial cake fireworks are particularly dangerous as they can tip over, posing serious injury risks. These fireworks were sold at Pyro City stores and other independent retailers for prices ranging from $6 to $8 each between January and May. In addition, the CPSC has also recalled approximately 13,500 units of Winco’s “Roman Candles 8 Shot 3-Pack Firework Devices,” which may blow out the side of their tube, increasing the risk of burn injuries. No injuries related to these products have been reported to date.
