Houthis issue threats to Saudi Arabia over airspace violation

Yemen’s Houthi forces have threatened to target Saudi airports after alleging that Saudi warplanes attempted to block an Iranian civilian aircraft from landing in Sanaa. Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree stated that the rebels successfully repelled the Saudi air incursion and warned of a strong response to any further violations. The aircraft reportedly carried over 200 passengers, including wounded citizens, and later returned to Tehran. The ongoing conflict in Yemen has led to a humanitarian crisis, with fighting largely paused since a UN-mediated truce in 2022.
