Kim Keon Hee, the former First Lady of South Korea, received a seven-year prison sentence for accepting bribes, including luxury items, in exchange for political favors during her husband President Yoon Suk Yeol’s administration. The Seoul Central District Court found her guilty of receiving gifts worth over 100 million won from various individuals in return for job placements and other benefits. Kim, who is already serving a four-year sentence for stock manipulation and other bribery charges, plans to appeal the ruling.
