Turkiye and Indonesia are intensifying collaboration in defence, energy, and emerging technologies following high-level discussions in Jakarta, with a goal of reaching $10 billion in bilateral trade. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto discussed joint projects in defence manufacturing, energy infrastructure, and artificial intelligence. Although trade has risen from $2.1 billion in 2023 to nearly $2.4 billion in 2024, significant progress is needed to meet their economic targets.
