CBH requests annual hectare planting data from growers

CBH Group is urging growers to log their planted hectares using the Paddock Planner tool as harvest preparations begin in the region. Those who register by July 15, 2026, will be entered into a draw for one of ten $500 gift vouchers. Mick Daw, CBH Chief Operations Officer, emphasized the importance of this data for effective harvest planning, site service organization, and storage management. Inaccurate logging can lead to unexpected deliveries and strain on site capacity. Paddock Planner, now in its tenth year, has seen an 8% increase in logged hectares year-on-year, aiding CBH’s long-term strategy to export 3 million tonnes monthly by 2033 and guiding investment in permanent storage facilities.

Why It Matters

Accurate data logging through Paddock Planner is crucial for optimizing the supply chain during harvest, which can significantly impact service efficiency in the agricultural sector. Historically, effective harvest planning has been linked to the ability to manage deliveries and storage capacities, directly influencing growers’ profitability. As CBH aims to enhance its export capabilities, the tool’s integration into operational strategies underscores the importance of data-driven decisions in the agricultural industry, particularly in the context of growing global demand for grain.
