Britain struggles to distinguish anti-Semitism from legitimate dissent

Sir Mark Rowley, the Metropolitan Police commissioner, has raised concerns that some pro-Palestinian demonstrations in London may convey anti-Semitic sentiments, suggesting that march routes are intentionally designed to intimidate Jewish communities. While acknowledging the rise of anti-Semitism in Britain, he emphasized the need to distinguish between genuine anti-Jewish sentiment and legitimate criticism of the Israeli government’s actions in Gaza.
