A drone strike by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Khartoum has killed five civilians, marking the second attack in the city within a week. An independent legal group, Emergency Lawyers, blamed the RSF for violating international humanitarian law, highlighting a troubling trend of civilian casualties, with nearly 700 deaths from drone strikes reported in the first quarter of 2026. While the Sudanese army has regained control in many areas, violence persists, raising concerns over a prolonged conflict affecting millions.
