The Sharif University of Technology in Tehran was bombed, damaging multiple buildings, including an artificial intelligence center. University President Masoud Tajrishi accused the U.S. and Israel of targeting symbols of Iran’s progress, while emphasizing that the university had been developing AI technologies domestically due to sanctions. No casualties were reported, as classes were online, but over 30 universities have been affected by such attacks since the war began. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has labeled U.S. and Israeli universities as legitimate targets in response.
